THANKS FOR ALL YOUR GREAT ANSWERS LAST WEEK!

Sal from Tujunga was concerned that his cousin wasn’t providing vet care for her sick horse, claiming she couldn’t afford basic vet recommended tests, and is considering turning her horse in to the shelter and getting another.  Sal felt that people who can’t afford vet care shouldn’t have a pet.

I have to say that y’all read my thoughts. If you can’t afford the expenses that go along with owning a pet a stuffed animal might be a better choice.

Sal’s cousin should immediately take the horse to a shelter or a rescue so it can be treated for whatever ails it (which might not be anything serious) and should not – repeat, should not - get another horse (or any other pet, for that matter) until she’s more financially stable.  If Sal’s cousin doesn’t test/treat the horse and doesn’t take it somewhere to be treated, she should start worrying about facing criminal charges.
